Brasilia Fishing Charter
Charter and fishing trips · Horta, Faial, and Ponta Delgada, São Miguel
Two boats fishing the Azores on two different islands in two different parts of the summer — São Miguel in June and July, Faial from July to October.
THE TWO SEASONS ARE THE POINT, AND THEY ARE A FISHING FACT RATHER THAN A LOGISTICAL ONE. The operator states that it works out of Ponta Delgada on São Miguel from 1 June to 31 July, and out of Horta on Faial from 1 July to 31 October. A charter fleet does not move six hundred kilometres across an archipelago for convenience; it moves because the fish do, and an operator publishing both dates is publishing the shape of the Azorean season more precisely than any authority does.
The vessels are Nell Magic and Makaira. All big-game tackle, lures and baits are included on the operator's account, and the species named runs from blue marlin and bigeye tuna down through white marlin, spearfish, dorado, wahoo and amberjack.
The operator also names white marlin and the Atlantic spearfishes. FishingHQ has no guide to either yet, so neither is listed above — that gap is ours rather than the operator's.
What they cover: Sea fishing, Lure fishing.
How you book: Charter the whole boat, Book in advance.
Trips the operator advertises:
- Day charters out of Horta, Faial, 1 July to 31 October on the operator's account.
- Day charters out of Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, 1 June to 31 July on the operator's account.
- Multi-day bookings.
Where it fishes: Azorean water off Faial from July to October and off São Miguel in June and July, on the operator's own account. The banks the fleet works lie offshore of both.
