The terms on which FishingHQ is provided. In short: it is information, not supervision; fishing carries real risk that remains yours; and the content is ours.
What this site is
FishingHQ is an information service operated by HEKNO Ltd, registered in Scotland under company number SC895711. Registered office: Borthwick Farm Cottage, Gorebridge, EH23 4QZ, United Kingdom. It is provided for general information and education. It is not instruction, supervision, training, professional advice, or legal advice, and nothing on it creates a professional relationship of any kind.
Risk remains yours
Fishing, wading, boating, working on rocks and coastlines, and breath-hold diving all carry real risk of serious injury and death. FishingHQ describes hazards and the practices that reduce them; it cannot assess your situation, your conditions, your equipment or your ability, and it does not clear you to do anything.
Spearfishing and freediving in particular require proper instruction from a recognised provider. Nothing here substitutes for it.
Rules and legality
Fishing laws, bylaws, access rules, seasons, bait restrictions and permitted methods vary by location and can change. FishingHQ explains concepts and never states the current position anywhere. Checking the current rules with the relevant authority and the water you intend to fish is your responsibility. See scope.
Accuracy
FishingHQ takes care over accuracy and states the evidential basis of its claims, but it makes no warranty that the content is complete, current or free from error. Where a claim rests on angling convention rather than on research, the page says so, and it should be read that way.

The content, structure, data model and presentation of FishingHQ are owned by HEKNO Ltd and protected by copyright and database rights. Personal, non-commercial reading, printing and linking are welcome.
Systematic copying, scraping, bulk extraction, republication, and use for training or populating machine-learning models or datasets are not permitted without written permission. Licensing enquiries: licensing@hekno.co.uk.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HEKNO Ltd excludes liability for loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have jurisdiction.
