Tell us about a fishing business we have missed
A shop, a fishery, a charter, a guide or a school — including your own. No account, no login, and nothing is published without a person checking it first.
What happens to what you send
- A person reads it. Nothing you send appears on the site automatically, and there is no queue that publishes itself.
- We check it before listing it. That normally means reading the business’s own website or telephoning them. A listing carries the date somebody last looked.
- There is no account and no payment. Nobody can log in, claim a listing or pay to be included or promoted. If that ever changes it will be announced rather than introduced quietly.
- Listing is not endorsement. We do not rate or rank businesses, and being listed says only that the business exists and somebody checked.
- You may be telling us we are wrong. That is just as useful. If something here has closed, moved or been described badly, say so.
What to include
Only the name and roughly where it is are needed. Everything else helps and none of it is required.
- Business or fishery nameneeded
- What it is actually called, as it appears on the door or the boat.
- What kind of business it isneeded
- One of: Tackle shop; Spearfishing and freediving shop; Managed fishery; Charter and fishing trips; Guide or instructor; Spearfishing school or instructor.
- Where it isneeded
- Town and county is enough. A full address is better if you have one.
- Website
- If there is one. A Facebook page counts — plenty of small shops have nothing else.
- Public telephone number
- Only a number the business publishes for customers. Never a personal one.
- What it does, in a sentence or twoneeded
- What it stocks, what it guides for, what is in the water. The practical part.
- Departure harbour and where it fishesneededCharter and fishing trips only
- Which port the boat leaves from, and the ground it works.
- What kind of fishery, and how you get a dayneededManaged fishery only
- Stocked or wild, what species, and whether it is day ticket, booking or membership.
- Your name, and whether you are connected to the business
- Not published. It tells us whether this is the owner, a customer or a passer-by, which changes how it is checked.
- An email address we can reply to
- Only if you want an answer. A submission without one is still read.
- Anything else we should know
- Including if we have got something wrong, or listed something that has closed.

What we do with your details
Your name and email address are used to check the submission and to reply to you, and they are not published. Contact details for the business are published only where the business publishes them itself — we do not look up or buy anybody’s details. See the privacy notice for how long correspondence is kept.
If you are the owner of a business listed here and want something changed or removed, say so and it will be. There is no form to fill in and no account to create for that either.
