How this plan is built

Every line comes from a page FishingHQ already publishes. The fish are the ones with a documented catch at the destination, at a named place or in accounts of the area, shown at the strength the sources give. Fish that are only recorded as present are listed apart and left out of the plan.

Baits, lures, rigs and tackle come from each fish’s own guide, so they describe what works for the fish rather than what anybody used on a particular water. Methods are marked where a local account names them. The planner holds no live conditions, makes no forecast and sends nothing about you. It keeps a plan only if you save it, and then only in this browser — see cookies and local storage.

Under each place, a line says what its own record establishes: whether a sourced way in is recorded and when it was checked, a way in the tide covers, local hazards and rules tied to their sources. “Recheck before you go” turns those into things to check. Where nothing is recorded the plan says so; that is a gap in FishingHQ’s records, not a statement about the place, and a recorded slipway or path is never permission.

“What this plan knows, and what it does not” sorts each question a trip has to answer into what the records establish, what to check before travelling, and what is not known. Permission and the day’s tide, weather and water are never in the first group: nothing written in advance can establish them. The fish you tick go in the page’s address, so a bookmarked or printed plan reopens as you made it.
